Ove Haxthausen

Ove is an expert in valuing brands and marketing activities. He has helped clients build and sustain brand value in a wide range of sectors, from technology and financial services to consumer goods and healthcare, among others. Projects have ranged from value driven brand strategy to marketing activity optimization, brand expansion through licensing, internal brand transactions, etc.

After working in strategy consulting at McKinsey & Company and Mars & Co., Ove got a taste for brands and marketing while helping start marketing consultancy Fletcher Knight. He subsequently joined Millward Brown Optimor where he headed up the brand valuation practice. At Optimor, Ove was also part of the team that developed the BrandZ Top 100 brand ranking published annually in the Financial Times.

Ove then served as the Kantar and WPP Global Account Director for the PepsiCo account. He subsequently joined Brand Union (now Design Bridge and Partners) as Senior Director, focusing on brand strategy.

Taking a break from marketing and brand consulting, Ove spent three years as Chief Operating Officer of Lake Avenue Capital, a boutique private equity firm focused on securities class action claims. He was also involved with the ISAF Management Company, a firm funding securities litigation outside of the United Sates. More recently, he has been running his own business, The Westside Group, providing consulting services related to the value of brands and marketing activities.

Ove has a civil engineering degree from l’Ecole Spéciale des Travaux Publics in Paris, and an MBA in finance from Columbia Business School..
